For her brief visits home to New York City, Melania Trump is described as “a piece of paper,” according to In Touch magazine.
The report from the gossip magazine said the First Lady would often take up residence at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. However, the magazine also said it had been “informed” by unnamed sources that Mrs. Trump does not have “a large social calendar” and that she rarely ventures out of the White House, meaning she misses out on social events at her children’s high schools.
The magazine said that Mrs. Trump is “less involved in her family’s life and less than an ideal role model for her son Barron.”
The exclusive gossip magazine said Mrs. Trump’s disdain for material things stems from her upbringing in Slovenia, where she says she “spent her entire life in poverty,” according to the magazine.
The First Lady apparently began working on her M.O. as soon as she had her First Lady title. Melania Trump, as part of her husband’s presidential campaign, took to a stage in Cleveland to take the stage at a rally, to loud applause from her Republican presidential candidate husband.
“It’s such an honor to be here for him, and so I wanted to take the opportunity right now to thank you and express my love for my husband,” she began, before launching into her M.O.
“I want to thank you very much for listening to me. And I’m really proud to be here today with all of you,” she said.
According to the In Touch magazine, Melania Trump “does not want to leave her home without security guards, and she’s known some of them for ten years. These men, who are 21 or 22 years old, have infiltrated her movements using spies, living within her social circle… [and] keeping their eyes peeled for her in New York.
“They spend much of their free time in bars, coffee shops and restaurants. One even purchased a $200 iPhone and started calling her from the Bronx,” the magazine writes.
